a nice shot!

You're right, at first I thought this was a Gulfstream coming in on the final. I prefer spotting this size business jet and at this location this size and smaller that is all you will get. Thanks Carl!

Photoshop ? No pilot inside the plane ? Non-moving propeller ? Or Very high speed camera ?

Looks like it’s already struck by lightning ;-)

DR, the F86 has a conventional tail, not a cruciform.

Bob,
As that livery name displays on this colorful 20-year-old Falcon it belongs to a Company that offers Liability Insurance in several categories according to their site. Nice one to spot and I have a couple more on this approach to post. TKS!

Only the tires are radials now.

Alex:
I Had to google that and it only led me to the owner, a Baker Aviation which offers Private Jet Charters along with complete aircraft servicing out of Texas. Nothing on that RODEO livery meaning. I Expected a generic livery when spotting this Citation so this was a nice surprise. TKS!

Beautiful shot!

I just looked at some details. For 2024, they have had 330 air missions in the USA, year to date. With the reported gallons of retardant dropped, they average approximately about 9,286 gallons per drop. And, they have a reported capacity of 9,400 gallons.

They might be expensive but they bring capacity to the fight.

Great shot capturing first ground contact, Colin. It is an unusual livery; I'm assuming that Condor wants to draw attention to itself.

Very Cool capture..! Creative..! You get an A+ in my book..!

To where?

Written on 07/24/2024 by parkerlawncare

Looks like they're doing a no-flap landing on this one. That explains their angle and speed like you mentioned.

great

with reference to the styling, it looks like a lollypop, bad for chidrens teeth.
Not a serious contender for "form follows function"

Why was this one in particular landing in Dallas? Seems odd to me. Diversion? Charter? Great pic btw, shows the true size of the plane.

Written on 07/23/2024 by George Williams

Well said David! It's always a much better experience when you need to actually walk out across the ramp and then climb stairs to get onboard, as compared to going through a sterile airbridge.

So who flies in this plane?

Cool beans snap.

Anchorage is such a huge cargo stop. Most passenger flights can bypass it, but cargo needs to stop for gas. Many years ago I worked for FedEx at their Indy hub. I worked the NRT slide. So the aircraft left Indy, stopped at ANC, and the next stop was NRT in Tokyo. Had a MD-11F on the flight and to this day I remain impressed with how big these planes are. It is a totally different experience to be looking up at them from the ground as opposed to looking out at them from an airport terminal.
